Defensive Difference Makers

List of rules to put into play:

Before the ball is pitched,
Rule 1: know the following:
           a. where the runners are
           b. how many outs there are
           c. where my play is
Rule 2: Remember, "Ball first, Play second, Play After third"
Rule 3: A well thrown ball is faster than ANY runner

After the ball is in play,
Rule 1: Everyone moves to cover the field
Rule 2: Infielders field the ball, backup up another fielder or cover their base
Rule 3: Always cover 1st
Rule 4: No baseball gets past the Out-fielders
Rule 5: Out-fielders, catch the ball, throw the ball - no hesitation
Rule 6: Always throw "in front" of the runner(s)
Rule 7: No run downs
Rule 8: 2nd Baseman and Short Stop work as a tag-team
Rule 9: After the 1st overthrow, get the ball to the Pitcher in the middle field
Rule 10: Mistakes will be made. Learn something from them, forget the mistake and look for the next opportunity to play it better
